Trey & Brandy Abshier
Trey Abshier, FACHE, serves as the President and CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, a position he has held since July 2024. Under his leadership, the hospital has significantly expanded its service offerings, including the addition of OB hospitalist and OB emergency services, the enhancement of the robotics surgery program with the Da Vinci 5, and the recruitment of additional general surgeons. He remains dedicated to operational excellence, process improvement, and prioritizing patient satisfaction.
Prior to joining Ascension, Trey was the CEO of HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital. During his tenure there, he spearheaded key initiatives such as launching a structural heart program, transitioning the facility to a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and driving quality improvements that resulted in a Leapfrog "A" grade.
His extensive healthcare leadership career also includes serving as CEO of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and Florida Medical Center, as well as Chief Operating Officer at Delray Medical Center and the Regional Medical Center of San Jose.
Trey is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He holds a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Louisiana State University. A native of Baton Rouge, Trey is married to Brandy, and they have three daughters. In his free time, Trey enjoys exercise, traveling, golfing, and exploring new culinary experiences.
Brandy Abshier is an Indiana University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and Criminal Justice. She spent more than 15 years in marketing and advertising leadership, including serving as a National Account Director, where she specialized in brand strategy, client relations, and business development.
Today, Brandy is a full-time mom to three smart, sassy girls, putting her organizational, multitasking, and negotiation skills to work every day. When she’s not cheering from the sidelines, volunteering, or planning the next family adventure, she’s passionate about giving back to her community and is honored to serve as Co-Chair of this year’s event.
